Despite post position 8, the 7-year-old gelding was able to make the lead near the opening quarter mile and never relented, with a narrow win over Manatlas and Swan Flyer. Trained by his owner, it was his 4th win of the year and sealed his second straight season with earnings in excess of $100,000. The win was one of two for driver Foster, who is just one victory shy of 2,000 lifetime. Northern Express paid $5.00 to win.

NORTHERN EXPRESS REPLAY

Pat Berry had 3 wins on the card.

Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule with Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 3-year-olds starting next week.

Post time is 4:30 p.m.
