Winton selections 26th February 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R3 – Princess Lisa (5)
Best Value: R4 – Akatea (8)
Race 1
Jay Bee Hill (1) – Running on nicely at Gore and should strip fitter second-up. From the ace she gets every chance.
Daisymerollin (7) – Made ground last time but manners key. If she trots cleanly she’s right in this.
Raffie Jay (2) – Eye-catching debut effort. Natural improvement makes her a genuine threat here.
Race 2
Bautista (2) – Very solid on grass lately and brings the right form into this. Hard to beat if he reproduces it.
Tashs Bad Girl (3) – Into a much kinder draw and this grade suits better. Can lift sharply.
Ramblin Rover (5) – Honest type who keeps putting himself there. Top-four player again.
Race 3
Princess Lisa (5) – Strong Canterbury trial since shifting south and looks well placed in this company. Big show.
Franco Seb (2) – Ultra consistent and will give his usual honest effort. Each-way claims.
Dame West (1) – Keeps racing well and drawn to get the right trip again. Must include.
Race 4
Akatea (8) – Only just missed in her recent heat here and looks primed. Can overcome the draw at value.
Chicago Sky (2) – Trialled nicely and has quality form at higher level. Right in the mix.
Snap Shot (1) – Excellent in her recent heat placing and from the ace she’ll take catching.
Race 5
Get Seaside Lucky (5) – Slick resuming win and looks progressive. Big chance to repeat.
Stumblin In (6) – Took on strong company last prep and trialled sharply. Major player.
Louies Me Dad (4) – Built nicely to his Ascot win. Harder here but competitive.
Race 6
Always Kilarney (4) – Impressed in latest trial and looks set for a bold debut performance.
Seaside Charlie (3) – Strong trial form and lands the perfect alley. Must respect.
Raven Shard (10) – Solid trials and capable of featuring with the right run into it.
Race 7
Xerion (5) – Drops into a very suitable grade and clearly the one to beat on class.
Geena’s Gift (7) – Consistent recent efforts and this field suits. Can threaten.
La Dama (11) – Unlucky last time and drawn to get cover. Worth including in combinations.
Race 8
Wild East (2) – Strong recent win and keeps running on. Up slightly in grade but still rates highly.
Forever Arden (1) – Charged home last start and gets conditions to suit from this draw.
Miki’s Deal (5) – Smart trial since and has mixed it with better types. Serious contender.
