Iamthecaptainnow (1) – Drawn to get every chance. Maps to control or trail and looks the one to beat.
Run Blaze Run (3) – Keeps finding the line and deserves a win. Gets his chance in this field.
Magie Do (2) – Honest type who stuck on well last time. Place hope again from a handy alley.

Race 2

Veronica Jane (6) – Drops in grade and better suited here. Can improve sharply in this company.
Eagle Hanover (7) – Has the ability to feature in this grade. One to include in wider bets.
Mechanica (2) – Consistent without winning. Likely to be around the money again.

Race 3

Crippa Max (9) – Very good on debut and strong Auckland effort since. Looks to have  upside 
Benson Dude (3) – Racing well at this track. Gets his chance to run top three again.
Run Mason Run (7) – Slight ease in grade and capable of sneaking into exotics.

Race 4

Stealers Wheel (2) – Fought on well last start. Gets the right draw and can go one better. Top pick
Bugalugs (1) – Barrier one suits and always gives a sight here. Each-way claims.
Dream On Lou (4) – Mixed form but capable on his day. Place chance with the right run.

Race 5

The Big Bang (6) – Brave after early work last time. Hard to fault recent efforts. Major player.
Melton Mogul (5) – In a strong run of form and must be respected again.
Gotta Elect Bill (7) – Excellent Palmy record and maps to get involved late.

Race 6

Kaipaki Jack (4) – Only previous Palmy run was solid. Can bounce back in this field.
Highview Rockn Roll (1) – Racing consistently and drawn to be handy throughout.
Ordained (2) – Honest type who will be thereabouts again. Include in combinations.
