Manawatu selections — 10th March 2026

Harness Analyst Best Tips

Best Bet: R3 Courage Reactor
Best Value: R4 Super Fund

Race 1

Mechanica (3) Keeps racing honestly and looks one of the safer options in a tricky opening trot.
Valentina Shevchenko (1) Drawn to get every favour and should be thereabouts again from the front.
So Mystifying (9) Drops into a suitable race and can loom into it despite the big handicap.

Race 2

Major Moonshine (5) Very consistent around this grade and another honest run looks likely.
American Tos (8) New surroundings could spark improvement and he shapes as a danger at odds.
Matariki (2) Should strip fitter for the fresh-up run and can improve sharply here.

Race 3

Courage Reactor (2) Nicely placed from the draw and this looks likely to lob into the top three.
I Can Too (6) Local form has been sound and he has the ability to make his presence felt again.
Genuine Imitation (5) Comes in off a strong runner-up effort and looks one of the main threats.

Race 4

Super Fund (4) Back to a track that should suit and capable of a much sharper showing tonight.
Rack’em Up (11) The class drop helps and he can be strong late if he gets any luck from the draw.
Midfrew Lando (3) Progressive type who looks capable of taking another step in this grade.

Race 5

Very Majestic (5) Best form measures up well here and he can be right in the finish with manners.
Highview Rockn Roll (3) Loves this circuit and arrives chasing a hat-trick of local wins. Include
Kink (6) Ultra-consistent trotter who should again be somewhere around the money. Needed

Race 6

Fredastaire (1) Gets the right draw to make full use of the class drop and looks the one to beat.
Skys Legacy (4) Has performed well enough at this track before and appeals as a solid EW chance.
The Mandalorian (2) Well drawn for his first look here and has enough ability to feature.

Race 7

Captain Kobe (4) Good Palmy stats and looks well placed to give a strong sight in this company.
Rough And Ready (5) Classy performer at this level and his course record demands respect.
Melton Mogul (3) In terrific touch and has to be included again despite the rise in grade.
