Cambridge selections 14th May 2026

Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R5  Critical Image
Best Value: R6 Westar Milly

Race 1

Lightening Lass (6) Smart trial winner leading into debut and expected to measure up immediately.
Mara (5) Better than her last run suggests and capable of improving in this company.
Magenta (3) Much kinder draw tonight and can bounce back into the money.

Race 2

Son Of Patrick (11) Track specialist who drops sharply in grade and looks hard to beat here.
Grace N Elegance (4) Honest type capable of improving sharply on recent efforts. Include.
Brother Johnson (3) Racing consistently and another tough effort would not surprise.

Race 3

Hes Not That Into U (9) Had no favours last time and worth another chance with the right trip.
S S Guppy (3) Strong fresh-up effort last week and natural improvement makes him dangerous.
Awesome Wish (1) Drawn to get every opportunity and can feature in the finish.

Race 4

Franco Miki (9) Better than last start reads and previous Cambridge run was full of merit.
Call Security (1) Perfect draw to settle handy and should give a solid sight throughout.
Miki Mirage (5) Tough effort last week and racing well enough to be right in this.

Race 5

Critical Image (1) Confidence boosting win recently and the ace draw only strengthens claims.
Always Flyin (9) Had little luck last time and maps for a cosy trip from the second line.
Claude (7) Dangerous back on his home track and capable of turning his form around quickly.

Race 6

Westar Milly (4) Honest recent form and only needs a touch of luck from the handicap.
Kink (10) Racing in top form and his recent Palmerston North wins were hard to fault.
Tinkerbelle (6) Tough winner last week and can certainly measure up again in this grade.

Race 7

Louezyana (15) Big class drop tonight and good enough to overcome the awkward marble.
Waltzing With Miki (6) Forgive last run and prior form makes him a serious threat here.
Dominus (11) Impressive winner last week and looks capable of stepping up again.

Race 8

Bettor Be A Legend (8) Resumes tonight but has the ability to test these fresh.
Lincoln Maree (5) Drops into a suitable race and should be competitive with the right run.
Caulfield (1) Cost himself with an error last start but the ace draw gives him another chance.
