The Raceway at Western Fair District and Woodbine Mohawk have been forced to cancel Boxing Day programs on Friday, Dec. 26 due to a winter storm forecast of extended freezing rain and high winds throughout the day in southwestern Ontario, leading to hazardous track and travel conditions.

MohawkThe finals of the Valedictory and Niagara Series have been rescheduled to next Friday, Jan. 2 and will go postward as drawn.

Additionally, training for Saturday morning at Mohawk has been cancelled.

The next live program at Mohawk is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 27 with a first post of 6:35 p.m. Western Fair resumes on Monday, Dec. 29 with a 5:50 p.m. first post.

Horsepeople are advised that there is no qualifying or training at The Raceway next Thursday (New Year’s Day) and that qualifying has been moved to Friday evening following the live race program at approximately 9:30 p.m.
