Harness racing returns to Tabcorp Park Menangle on a Saturday night for the first time this year and with two feature events including the Simpson Memorial set down for decision, it looks set to be a great night of racing action.  HRNSW’s Amanda Rando has passed on her selections for the meeting and for a full preview make sure you tune into Sky Sports Radio on Saturday morning at 10:30am to hear all of Amanda’s tips.

Amanda’s best bet at Menangle on Saturday night is the undefeated three year old Power Of Red in the Simpson Memorial.  The Steve Turnbull trained colt could not have been more impressive last start when he sat outside the leader and raced away to score in the Chokin Stakes.  Turnbull is eyeing off a trip south to the Victoria Derby and he looks a serious contender.

Next best for Amanda is the Belinda McCarthy trained Smooth Showgirl in race three.  The four year old is yet to miss a place this campaign and a win on Saturday night would see the mare take her earnings past $200,000.  Smooth Showgirl pressed forward last start and did plenty of work but still ran a slick last half when recording a 1:52.4 mile.

BEST BET – Race 5 No.1 POWER OF RED

NEXT BEST –  Race 3 No.6 SMOOTH SHOWGIRL
