OPEN FIELD TOPS $1 MILLION IN 2024

Friday’s feature race will be the $21,200 Open Pace, featuring a field of 9 horses that have combined for more than $1 million in earnings this season.  The group is led by Timeisonmyside, the 3YO owned by The Stable and trained by Tim Twaddle and driven by Anthony MacDonald.  The 8-time winner has banked more than $271,000 this season. Second on the earnings list this year among the field is Charlie May, who returns to the Twaddle Stable this week after a fourth place finish at Hollywood Dayton last week for trainer Steve Carter. Charlie May has more than $224,000 in earnings this season for owner Don Tiger.

TRACK RECORD HOLDER RETURNS

Jeffery P, who co-owns the track record for older trotting geldings (1:51.3 in 2021), will return to action in Wednesday’s feature race, an upper-level conditioned trot.  The Ron Burke trainee last raced in June, and requalified on December 3, winning in 1:57.1 with driver Tom Davis.  Ronnie Wrenn will drive the now-9YO in the 8th race on Wednesday afternoon.
