The Meadows

RETURN TO REGULAR SCHEDULE

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows will return to its regular winter harness racing schedule this week, with action on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:45pm.  A total of 13 races are planned each afternoon.

NEW STABLE GETS FIRST LOCAL WIN

Rob Laffoon is the newest face at The Meadows for the fall, as he has been racing his stable of horses the past few weeks after arriving from Kentucky.  Laffoon has a total of 5 horses racing this Wednesday and Thursday, with the draw for Friday set for Tuesday morning.  He picked up his first local training win on Wednesday last week with Swing Dancing in a NW6 pace.

TOP 7

With one month remaining in 2024, seven Meadows drivers have surpassed 100 wins and $1,000,000 in purse earnings for the season.  Dave Palone still leads the way with 353 wins, followed by Ronnie Wrenn Jr at 316.  The remainder of the top-7 are Aaron Merriman (237), Hunter Myers (173), Mike Wilder (141), Brady Brown (125) and Jeremy Indof (111).  The purse earnings follow the same order, with Palone and Wrenn both topping the $3 million mark, followed by Merriman at $2.4M.
