Matty maps out Invercargill

Oamaru horseman Matty Williamson will be clocking up the k’s in the next few days with harness racing meetings at Invercargill tomorrow, Addington on Friday and Diamonds Day at Ascot Park on Sunday.

Tomorrow, he brings a team of five south.

Hayley Robyn (Sportswriter) gets a draw upgrade in Race Two and as a six win mare looks nicely placed.

In Race Three Mighty Miki (Always B Miki) also draws well at one. He’s been knocking on the door for a while and gets his chance to clear maidens tomorrow.

In Race Five Williamson lines up She’s A Jewel (Sweet Lou).

Although twelfth at her last start at Addington she was only three and a half lengths from the winner. She must overcome a second row draw.

Williamson says She’s A Jewel is the stables best bet.

Granny Rose (The Pres) and Markthewarrior (Majestic Son) line up in Race Six, a mobile trot.

Granny Rose didn’t finish off her race at Addington on Monday and came in at ninth.

Two of  Markthewarrior’s three wins have been from the mobile but he has to contend with an inside second row draw.
