Marketplace back in NZ

By PHHA/Harrah's Philadelphia ·

After a successful harness racing campaign in Australia, on Tuesday Marketplace (Bettor’s Delight) returned home to Regan Todd’s Yaldhurst stable.

“He looks awesome, is in great nick and straight back into work. He’ll have two lead up runs heading into the Canterbury Classic (October 16th), they’ll be handicap races. The Hannon Memorial is probably going to be a week too soon. The Cup is the main aim so we’ll just build him towards that,” Todd said.

The star pacer last raced at Albion Park a month ago, finishing second to Captains Mistress in the $300,000 The Rising Sun.

His three race Australian campaign earned his connections $67,500.

Southern driver Craig Ferguson has been confirmed as the gelding’s driver.

Marketplace’s rivalry with Got The Chocolates is renewed with his return and their competition is eagerly awaited by New Zealand Harness Racing followers.
