Mare in foal seeks home
Millstone Township, N.J., Nov. 27, 2017 – One lucky mare has made it to the safety of the Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF), but she has brought a surprise with her.
Tee's Mean Machine showed up from the kill pen looking like she might be pregnant, and SRF has confirmed that she is in fact in foal. Her due date, at best guess is in February, and the father is a mystery.
SRF is not set up for what she will need or for handling a foal and seeks an experienced home or foster home for this healthy mare.
She is just 12 years old. To offer help, please contact Tammy Cailliau at 732-446-4422 or via email at SRFhorsesandkids@gmail.com.
SRF is the largest Standardbred adoption program in the U.S. with over 3,000 adoptions since 1989, and is different; helping Standardbreds exclusively; helps whether, young, aged, injured, or neglected; is feeding and caring for more than 272 trotters and pacers; is home to 156 retirees under SRF's care and expense; is providing lifetime follow-up for every adopted horse, never to be at risk again.
