Bred, raised and trained in Canada, the son of Angus Hall and the King Conch mare Celtic Contessa compiled the exemplary record of 38 starts for 22 wins and eight placings, a mark of 1:52.4 and $1,993,157 in stake earnings.

Among Majestic Son’s successes were the $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic, $500,000 Breeders Crown 3YO Final, Champlain Stake, Goodtimes Trot, Canadian Breeders Championship and five Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Finals.

He was named the Canadian 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year and Horse of the Year in 2006.

Retired as a four-year-old, Majestic Son was first at the stud in Ontario and from seven racing crops in North America he sired the winners of almost $US23 million including the millionaire Charmed Life as well as five $750,000 winners, two $500,000 winners, 31 winners of $250,000, 62 winners of $100,000 and 52 in the 1:55 list.

He shuttled between the northern and southern hemispheres for the first seven years of his stud life before taking up residence at Alabar Bloodstock’s Pukekohe property in 2016. He has stood at Alabar’s Victorian farm since 2022.

From his first New Zealand crop he sired the Great Southern Star and Maori Mile winner Glenferrie Typhoon, while his first full Australian crop produced a top colt in I’m Stately, a dual Vicbred champion and 2YO of the Year, and a smart filly in Illawong Helios, whose 19 wins included the Victoria Trotters Derby.

Since topping the leading first season sires’ list in 2013, Majestic Son has been the dominant siring force in Australia across the board, heading the all aged list for the last 10 seasons and setting new standards along the way. In 2022 he set a new stakemoney record for a trotting sire in a single season of $3 million.

While in NZ, he has topped the sires’ premiership on eight occasions as well as the two-year-old list four times and the three-year-old chart three times.

In all, Majestic Son has sired 244 winners for $16.3 million in Australia and 381 winners who between them recorded 1394 wins and almost $21 million in NZ.

He has left an amazing 86 Stakes winners in Australasia including 43 Group 1 winners including trotters the calibre of Sundee’s Son, Oscar Bonavena, Gus, Majestic Man, Majestuoso, Watts Up Partytime, Jilliby Ballerini, Majestic Player and Plymouth Chubb.

Majestic Son is now becoming a boom broodmare sire with his daughters leaving the Group and classic winners Tracy The Jet, Derek The Jet, Kyvalley Finn, Keayang Bazlenka, Royal Dan and Kyvalley Maven.
