MacDonald touches down in New Zealand

Home / Canada / MacDonald touches down in New Zealand

James MacDonald has officially arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand with his wife Paige and has settled in as he prepares to represent Canada at the 2025 World Driving Championship (WDC).

Upon arrival, MacDonald attended a casual meet-and-greet with most of the WDC drivers. This event, featuring drinks and appetizers, provided an opportunity for international competitors to connect before the first heat in Kaikoura.

Next, Canada’s representative will attend a rules session with the Racing Integrity Board, followed by a media session for photos and videos, and the official welcome function. Later, he will travel by bus to the Sudima Hotel in Kaikoura to prepare for the event’s first leg.

Transportation between race meetings and events is provided, with meals, hospitality, and local experiences planned for the initial days.
