Luka wins Jake Saner Memorial

To celebrate the life of Iowa horseman, Jake Saner, family and friends gathered at Eldon, Iowa on Wednesday (6/12).  At his favorite harness racing track, race two featured the Iowa Registered 3 Years Old and Older Trot which was named in his honor, the Jake Saner Memorial.

Looking for a second consecutive win of the season, the 2024 Trou Inspiration Memorial winner, Luka (Lukas Hall), drew the five-hole.  As the gate folded, Baby Flash (Chad Svendsen) sprinted out from the three-hole, trying to hold off Luka (Rob Anderson) as they raced the first turn. Unable to hold the lead, Baby Flash conceded the rail to Luka.
