Loucasso in ominous form as he wins again
Loucasso in ominous form as he wins again
Eureka favourite Loucasso (Sweet Lou) continued his preparation with yet another faultless display to easily account for his harness racing rivals in the Woodlands Stud three year old pace at Menangle on Saturday night.

Those who attended were treated to a brilliant performance by Loucasso who wasn’t bustled out early by driver Seaton Grima. Andretti went to the front but when Grima allowed Loucasso to stride up, Alert Bay went with him to eventually take the trail.
Grima let Loucasso run his last two quarters in 27.8 and 27 seconds as Alert Bay similar to his last run valiantly tried to rein in Loucasso but the latter was just too speedy on the night to record an effortless four metre win.
LOUCASSO 19 SEP REPLAY
The lightly raced filly The Queens Gambit came from well back to make up good ground for third placing.
In running 1.49.9 for the mile, Loucasso was only marginally slower than the 1.49.5 he ran for his previous win a fortnight back at Menangle.
The immediate targets for Loucasso are the Group 1 Victoria Pacers Derby (heats on 10 October and final on 17 October) and the New South Wales Breeders Challenge which will be his prelude to the $1.5 million Eureka on 21 November.
Loucasso is yet to be tested this time in but the manner of his performances to date suggests that he will take a power of beating in the forthcoming classics.
