The win by Louies Me Dad (Lord Forbes) at Ascot Park on Thursday enhanced his sire’s outstanding record and became Lord Forbes fourth harness racing winner from just four foals of racing age.

His other winners have been Louies Girl (4 New Zealand wins and seven USA wins), Huki Fella (2) and By Chance (2).
The Live Or Die stallion who won eleven races is also the sire of one two year old and twenty one weanlings.
His star performer Louies Girl now trained by Per Engblom, has won all seven of her starts in America and has banked $124,536. Her best mile time is 1-52.2.
She’s being aimed at the Matchmakers Series at Yonkers in late March early April. The series is run over six weeks with $50,000 heats and mares accumulating points for the $500,000 final.
Lord Forbes who stands at Macca Lodge in Northern Southland got twelve mares in foal last spring.
