This day at Paris-Vincennes was held the Prix de Durtal les Raivies (purse 59,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 16 European starters ages 7-10) and 7/1 odds Instant d’Haufor (7g Amiral Sacha-Bastia Haufor-Paris Haufor) was placed first when Hadrien crossed the line first on the run and was disqualified. David Thomain reined this Christian Bigeon owned/bred/trained veteran that recorded his ninth career victory in 34 starts.
He has now earned 209,750€ with this 1.11.6kr timed score. Happy du Bois (8g Lets Go Along) was placed second at 6.4/1 odds with Eric Raffin aboard for trainer Eddy Planchenault followed by third placed 70/1 L.A. Boko (7m Readly Express) reined by Bjorn Goop for trainer Dominik Locqueneux.
Ibis Pettevieniere (7g Magnificent Rodney) at 8.2/1 odds and 14/1 Cool Kronos (7g Readly Express) were placed fourth and fifth respectively followed by Chemar (7m SJs Photo).
This prompted me to seek out the SJ’s Photo offspring registered just in Italy – there were 1,179 registered there from 1997 through 2019. Perhaps he has sired more foals than any other in the US and througout Europe and even down under.
The Prix de Villeral (purse 35,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 13 five year old starters) on this card produced a stirring dead heat timed in 1.11.8kr between 2.9/1 odds Knock Out Maker (5g Love You-Beltissima Dubrio) from post two and 1.9/1 odds favorite Kowait de Chenu (5g Rodrigo Jet- Bonne Citronnade) from post eight.

Clement Duvaldestin drove the former for Ecurie Olmenhof and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin while the latter had Eric Raffin at the lines for owner/trainer J.M, Baudouin. Knock Pou Maker now has six career wins in 11 starts for 60,335€ and three wins in his last four appearances.
The 69/1 outsider Ker de Toyes (5g Feeling Cash) rallied for third with trainer Gabriel Angel Pou Pou driving and 15/1 Kaid del Green (5g Atlas de Joudes) held fourth.

The weekend ahead in Paris is headlined by the Gr. I International Prix de France with new and old competitors such as Go On Boy, Hussard du Landret and the newcomer Working Class Hero. Driver Franck Nivard will be on hand driving the 11 year old mare Emeraude de Bais. She is a great mare and Nivard is a great reinsman who has had exceptional results in this race.
While Amerique winner Idao de Tillard is out of this sprinter distance triple crown race, he now has a half-brother by Just A Gigolo foaled this week.

Just A Gigolo (6m Boccador de Simm-Blue Valentine) that Philippe Allaire bred, owns and trains. He is a 17 time winner in 43 starts for 1,240,831€ earned.
While the Sunday Prix de France is the headliner of that program there are other top flight events as shown below
