I Am Hellbound impresses in 4YO Foundation Final

One of the state’s most improved trotter I Am Hellbound (Father Patrick) gave a faultless exhibition in an exhilarating all the way harness racing win in the Wests Tigers Enpower Four Year Old Foundation Final for Trotters at Menangle on Saturday evening.

Previously prepared by Victorian trainer Chris Svanosio, I Am Hellbound was sent to New South Wales and he joined Sam Hewitt’s stable two month ago.

I AM HELLBOUND 11 APR REPLAY

Showing impeccable manners I Am Hellbound was able to head off the early leader San Juan Mountain.

Chris Svanosio who bought up Kyvalley Judge for the Final was back in the field but was able to obtain a one out and one back trail behind Oria.

But I Am Hellbound looked to be cruising in front and Hewitt released the brakes on I Am Hellbound running his last two quarters in 29.1 and 28.2 seconds to clear right away. At the finish I Am Hellbound had 24 metres to spare over Kyvalley Judge and Aldebaran Zane who emerged from back in the pack for third.

I Am Hellbound has been a model of consistency since joining Hewitt’s stable and in his eight appearances has won on three occasions at Menangle and five placings.
