Huntsville mare cruises to easy victory

Pearl Washing Tan (John MacDonald) captures the $7,500 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Vernon Downs on Thursday (July 31).

The Hunt is On (Chris Long) darted out to the lead and led to the first quarter in :26.2.  She used a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.3.  Pearl Washing Tan ($5.00) made her move first-over going around the final turn and was first to three-quarters in 1:25.2.

Pearl Washing Tan just cruised down the stretch to win easily in 1:53.2.  Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) was second best.  Ideal Entry (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) finished third.

Pearl Washing Tan is a 5-year-old mare by Huntsville.  She is owned by Peter Gentile Jr. and trained by Joe Sansone.  It was her fifth win this season.  She now has 10 career victories.
