High On Pepper (8g Ready Cash-Piece Of Work-Yankee Glide) held gamely to win the STL Gold (purse to winner 150,000SEK, 2640meters autostart) at Aby with Jorma Kontio up for trainer Katja Melkko and owner Pepper AB and Silkstone HB.

He was timed in 1.13.1kr and  was bred by Tina Dale Brauti of Norway, and now  sports earnings of 7,394,680SEK from 28 wins in 62 career starts. Pepper, today off at 1.33/1 favorite odds,  is a noteworthy winter performer and shows three wins  in his last four appearances. Second was Karat  River (8g Muscle Hill-Diamond River-Ready Cash) at 4.15/1 odds with Stefan Persson up  for conditioner Johan Untersteiner. Third  was 10.6/1  Macahan (6m Maharajah-Flippa Hall-Andover Hall) with Dwight Pieters up for trainer  Maria Tornqvist.

In the STL Silver (purse to winner 150,000SEK,2140 meters autostart,  nine starters) the 3.72/1odds Makalu Doc (6m SJs Caviar-Howell Mountain-Cantab Hall) scored in 1.12.2kr with Ulf Ohlsson driving for Heikki Matias Koskela who trainsfor Dan Hultberg.

The 10.5/1 Hobart(8gBold Eagle-Otrobanda-Celebrity Secret) was second driven by Vemund M. Drolsum  followed by  41.9/1 odds Bold Request (8g Bold Eagle-Jolie Reve-Lindy Lane) handled by Hanna Lahdekorpi.
