Chase Auckland and Heaven Rocks have both been cleared of serious injury, after major concerns on Friday.

Heaven Rocks finished a disappointing last in the Canterbury Classic on Friday night, and driver Natalie Rasmussen thought the big gelding had broken down. After vetting him on Saturday it was found that Heaven Rocks only has a minor heel injury, which will not curtail his season like first thought.

Heaven Rocks has eased out to $3.20 on the Futures NZ Cup market, while Lazarus has firmed in to favourite at $1.80.

Chase Auckland managed to get cast in his box on Friday morning and was scratched from the 2nd Sires Stakes heat that night, but he too has been cleared and will continue his current preparation.

Charlotte Purvis drove her first winner at Ascot Park yesterday behind the Phil Williamson trained Pyramid Magic. The 23 year old sister of junior driver Matt Purvis and boyfriend of Matthew Williamson, landed her first win at her 18th race-day drive.

Pyramid Magic had a good run on the outer most of the way, before looming up on the turn to hit the lead and then hold of all the challenge of Pegarose and Nathan Williamson.
