Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with 12 races on the card. The racing starts at 11:55am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Quinn (8) At his best would go close in this. Should run top three with a good run in transit
Foveaux Gambler (2) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Driver respect. Needed
Flyaway (6) Hard to pin down but he can surprise when you least expect it. Winning claims

Race 2

Rependant (12) Best form in the race and only needs manners to be good win chance. Include
Lorde Franco (11) Running home well last start and grass should suit. One for longer odds
Just Giveme Strength (1) Has taken plenty of time to get to the races. Top driver booked here

Race 3

Delight With Me (8) Wide draw but top driver on and not the worst with a good trip. Roughy
Sky News (9) Should get a soft run on the pegs here. Will be finishing on late with any gaps
Cheeky Joe (5) Not getting the rub of the green in his first couple. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Domination’s Call (4) Goes well on grass and a winning chance again from the draw. Include
Practical Magic (3) Has early speed and goes well on grass. Should give a good account again
Brother Love (2) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds from the draw

Race 5

Playing With Stars (2) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Top driver sticks with, Needed
Jack’s Eyre (11) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance on grass
Bautista (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. Include

Race 6

Bizza To’o (5) Fought on best last start to win and rise in grade no issue. Top selection in this
Zhutee (14) Maiden win was good and tricky draw the only concern. Good each way chance
Dont Look Kobe (13) Will be fitter after last start. Needs manners but the ability is there

Race 7

Waikaka (9) Normally a quick beginner and dangerous if he leads. Hard to beat against this lot
Carlin (11) Ran home well last start and grass suits. Winning claims with a good run in transit
Festus Haggen (2) Due to show form and drawn well here. Should be thereabouts in this field

Race 8

A Better Jackalack (1) Best draw and in good form for this. Looks to be a great winning chance
Tuneinsportsfans (4) Decent motor and has gate speed. Obvious top three player in this field
Ask Me Lazarus (9) Better last start. Will continue to improve and place hope again here

Race 9

Majesdix (2) Normally a quick beginner and should get a soft trip on the pegs. Winning claims
Holly Highlander (12) Decent motor but always seems to get an interrupted run. Top three
Brian Beatt (4) Disappointing last start. Quick beginner who can stick on for a place in this

Race 10

The Big Lebowski (16) Has raced well better fields. Tricky handicap but will be running home late
Deny Everything (11) Wide draw but better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Commander Ben (7) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Could surprise here

Race 11

Kotare Kelso (5) In form and likely leader early. Can stick on for a top three here. One for longer odds
Samvasa (9) Should get a soft pegs run and racing well on grass. Has to be respected with any gaps
Don Juan (1) Won well three starts ago and should get and economical trip. Not the worst in this

Race 12

Racey Krusa (4) Has been in great recent form and this field not much stronger. Top selection in this.
Kracka Looka (7) Finally got a deserved win last start. Good draw here and has to be respected again
Jordan Anne (12) Soft run likely from the draw. Not the worst at longer odds from a trailing position
