Harness analyst - Timaru 4th October

Harness racing hits Timaru today with an eleven race program starting at 11:58am and in this video we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Timaru Sunday 4th October 2020

Race 1

Four Starzzz Shiraz  has a decent motor and this is a drop in grade. Will be hard to beat if he is handy on the turn…… Highland Reign tricky draw but has raced well in similar fields in the past. Can win with handy driver on board ..… Refine ok last start and getting fitter. Draw suits and major player here.…….. Touche getting fitter with racing but drawn a touch wide. Chance if she goes forward early

Race 2

One Over All  draw not great but good form and will start favourite. Hard to beat……. Random Jude  getting fitter with racing and one of the better chances in this field…… Hang On Suzie  normally reliable from a stand and should land close to the lead. Could surprise at big money…… Ilsas Son good third last start and should be improved. Chance to run in the top three at nice odds

Race 3

Riveered good draw and his runs recently have been ok. Looks a good winning chance in this field if he can find the lead early….. Twilight Bromac has run some cheeky races on the odd occasion against stronger fields. One for longer odds….. Surfers Delight good second fresh up and stable on fire. Top three player here from the draw…. Major Moose tidy draw and getting fitter with racing. Looks the one to beat here.

Race 4

Going For Gold back to a front row draw and has a motor. Can win and top selection here but still wary his manners….. Kingsdown Atom tricky draw but likely to begin well. Place claims best here….. Art Collector running ok races and drawn well. Not the worst and has winning claims with soft trip in the race …. Kusanova raced well for second last start and getting fitter. Can run top three and possible leader

Race 5

Endless Dreams terrible draw but a big engine. Should run top three with luck in the running…… Dolce Vita racing well against strong fields and tidy formline. Should be in or near the top three from the draw… Katherine nice draw and mobile will suit. Trial form ok and top three player here at nice odds… Iksaka two good thirds before striking a strong field last start  . Needed

Race 6

Black Jacket trialling ok and has raced better fields than this with merit. Top selection here.….. Sonoma Tyron tricky draw but her win last start pointed to her going through the grades. Can win  again…… I Dream Of Jeannie terrible draw here but will be competitive if she trots all the way. Can win with luck in the running.… Tequila Sunset form does not reflect her true ability. Can run top three with a safe beginning

Race 7

Barkley we tipped her at $32.00 last week and she got it done. Go again from the draw……. Clive will be improved after his grass run last start. Outside draw but has winning claims ….. Overarm plenty of ability but tricky draw. Tote the guide here….. Good On Ya Kiwi getting better with racing but a notch below his best. Drops in grade here and can upset..

Race 8

Flamboyant racing ok and stand suits. Top three player here at nice odds……. Sister's Delight good beginner who might lead early here. Can run top three..… Guido Da Siena has been solid in similar races and conditions suit. Has claims with a soft run in transit….. Terrier good fourth last start but draw not great. Place chances best here.

Race 9

Ideal Rule drops in grade for this but wide draw. If she gets a cart into the race she will be hard to beat……. Essence Of Easton running on ok last start and always a place chance in these types of fields. Include here…… Been To Jenny's racing well in strong fields and has winning claims back to a decent draw. Needed….. Already Gone has the draw to suit and building fitness. Can place at good money

Race 10

Global Flight big on ability and drawn well here. Top three player with manners……. She's Allthe Craze these conditions suit and runs have been better than they look on paper. Can place at nice odds..… Sunny Bill has performed well in similar fields in the past but out of form. Give another chance here….. Grand Princess she bobs up now and then but hard to catch. Could upset if things go her way.

Race 11

Dismara has ability and mobile 2600m will suit. Top selection here……. Square Dealer money was on last start and gets a decent draw to work with here. Will start favourite and has to be hard to beat..… Ripsnorter likely to be a quick improver here. Include in combinations from the draw and top driver booking….. Sweeney Todd terrible draw but dropping in grade for this. Place chance at longer odds.
