Harness racing hits Rangiora on grass today with an eleven race program starting at 12:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a nice day of racing.

Race 1

This Time Gamble form is good and has been stepping cleanly the last few races. Has the speed to win this. Top selection .…… Summars ok last start and a place chance if he can land closer to the speed in this..… Ilsas Son back to a good draw but manners a slight concern. Would be a good chance with a trail in the race…… Greenbank Betty manners have been her downfall but if she brought her a-game she would be right in this at good odds.

Race 2

Perfect Cut drawn to get a good run on the fence. Should go close to running top three.……. On The Buzzer has the ability and weaker field here. Can go close and will get a run near the leaders with the top driver on board…… Play By Ear good trailing draw behind the stablemate. Could upset if the gaps open in the straight …… Schiavone trainer driver combo hard to beat and this one looks ok at trials. Look for a bold showing here

Race 3

Awapuni drawn to lead early and workout form not bad. Should give a good sight in this field and from  renowned grass track stable….. Call This Fun has a bit of a reputation and grass suits. Good chance with manners….. Faith No More has the ability to beat a field like this but keeps making mistakes. Needs to step but has winning claims….. Sally Lindenny has run some decent races on grass and drawn ok. Place chances best.

Race 4

Times Are A Changin looks the early leader and will take a power of beating in front. Good winning claims ….. Kowhai Shadow likely to get a soft run on the fence. Hard to beat if handy turning for home….. Hey Tonight racing ok and will be improved. Can run top three at good odds….. A Guinness Dance last start run ok but terrible draw. Can win with a cart into the race at the right time.

Race 5

It's A Laugh disappointed last start but prior form good. Winning chance from the draw and grass suits ….. Taumata VC racing into form and has been a bit unlucky. One of the leading chances in this field….. Unchanged Memory couple of his runs have been ok and drawn well. Place claims at big odds….. Kennedy ok at workouts and top driver booked. One for longer odds

Race 6

Tequila Sunset conditions suit and form is pretty good. Good winning claims from the ace draw.…. Ali Lindenny good beginner who disappointed last start. Better placed here and can run top three in this field…… Kowhai Sundown has been a bit in or out with her form but should get a good run from the draw. Can run top three..… Foreigner grass suits and normally ok from a stand. Could upset with a good run in transit

Race 7

Mad Lu Li  in good form and best draw for some time. Hard to beat if she stays handy and top selection.…. Judgement Bay disappointing last start after big win fresh up. Would be no surprise to see her in the money here at good odds ….. Serious Moonlite speedy when caught in the right mood and in good form. Can go close here from a trailing position…. Be Mine Tonight at his best she would threaten these but terrible draw. Place claims here

Race 8

Blue Chip Delight  disappointing last start but better draw and stand suits.  Good chance in this field….. Yossi  good draw and has the speed to compete with these. Winning chance if he can stay handy ….. Fynn Frost  good staying type who gets in well here. He will be finishing on if the pace is on all the way. Needed.…. Gilligans Island racing well but tricky handicap. Will be finishing on and can win if the pace is on all the way

Race 9

Mataderos disappointed last start but prior form good. Winning chance and grass suits ….. BJ Lindenny racing into form and has been a bit unlucky. One of the leading chances in this field….. Zsa Zoe a couple of her runs have been good on grass and should step cleanly. Place claims best….. Rebel Kibbybones  tidy win last start and should be fitter. One for longer odds

Race 10

Corravally Star trailing draw and will appreciate the grass. Should give a good sight in this field and can win. Top selection here ….. Madame Frost bobs up now and then and grass track her go. Place chance at huge odds….. Bettor Believe It has the ability to beat a field like this and in good form. Place chance again. ….. Champagneandwine coming back into form and well placed in this field. Needed.

Race 11

The Kaik well placed in this field and will be running on. Upset claims at good odds ….. Spicy Girl Becqui likely to get a good run near the lead. Hard to beat if handy turning for home….. Vincent Van Gone  racing ok and will be improved. Can run top three from the ace draw….. Dreaminsover grass suits and a cosy fence run likely. Needed
