Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with nine races on the card . The racing starts at 2.25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Keltic Tiger (3) Has been disappointing but can run top three here with his best effort. Include
Wavewatcher (1) Small field will help and track stats excellent. Gate speed and needed here
The Bettor Major (7) Has had plenty of chances but better than the form suggests. Place chance

Race 2

Luby’s Luck (7) Raced well in age group races and has been freshened. Stable respect for this
Harriet’s Moment (9) Trained on the track and has been good at trials. Has to be included
Madison’s Moon (14) Improver for this and a danger if she trots all the way. One for longer odds

Race 3

Haley Robyn (3) Drawn much better here and finished on last start. Good run expected. Needed
Ivona Dadic (8) Wide barrier but could upset with a good run in transit. Place hope at good odds
The Night Fox (2) Freshened and drawn to race handy. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Grazie (12) Solid second last start and a winning chance here with a cart into the race. Include
Newbiemains Arden (11) Has not had a lot of luck but has a fair amount of speed. Top three hope
Girl’s Night Out (3) Trainer does well on the track and running on ok last start. Upset claims

Race 5

Randel Huston P (6) Out of form last start but conditions will suit here. Can win if he leads
Jordan Anne (10) Track suits and not far away last three starts. Should run top four in this
Dancing Glenis (4) Back to trotting after a pacing sojourn. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 6

Auntie Deb (3) Did too much work in a tougher field last start. Hard to beat against this lot
Watching Brief (9) Should get a run through early. Winning claims with a good trip. Include
Sophia Bromac (11) Wide draw the only concern. Top three chance with a good trip. Needed

Race 7

Chicago Sky (3) Draw helps and form says she can run top four again. One of the main chances
Delightful Peg (5) Ran home well last start and has raced this quality before. Winning claims
Selsey Anne (7) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and better chance here

Race 8

Miles Away (3) Gets a head start on the favourites. Will need manners but could surprise
Vertigo (5) Tricky handicap but good beginner. Should go close to placing in this. Needed
Buffy Northstains (2) Should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance at nice odds

Race 9

Dance With The Boss (7) Easy win last start and has a motor. Wide draw but can win
Ari On Safari (1) Decent draw and likes the track. One of the better chances in this field
Mouton Cadet (8) Has been thereabouts. Will continue to improve and place hope here
