Harness analyst - Methven 13th September

Harness racing hits the grass track at Methven today with a twelve race program starting at 11:40am and in this video we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Methven  Sunday 10^th  September 2020

 

Race 1

Test The Boundaries big trial win on the track last week and unlucky first start. Good winning claims if he trots all the way.…… Hang On Suzie she ran some ok races last campaign and getting fitter. Can run top three at big odds with a cart into the race at the right time.… Queen Of Strathfield has been in great form at his last few and looks a good chance of placing again here. Aldebaran Heather running on ok at last weeks Methven trials and decent draw. Can upset with a good run in transit

Race 2

Mark Dunnett easy win at the Methven trials last weeks and top driver booked. Will be hard to beat here……. White Shark has ability and will be stronger now. Good chance at big odds in this field…… Verstappen has impressed at workouts and money will come for him I think. Good winning chance…… Manjimup ok on the track at the trials and draw suits. One for longer odds.

Race 3

Ticking Over good second on the track at the trials but tricky draw. Major player in this field if she is handy turning for home.….. President Pat coming in fresh but always trials ok on the track. Good upset hope in this ….. Silent Shadow always a chance in these grass track races but draw not great. One for longer odds …… For Today likely to show something from the draw and has gone ok on grass. Winning claims

Race 4

Kusanova good finish at the Methven trials and stable looks ready to go. Tote the guide but top winning chance….. The Black Shadow grass will suit and ok last start. Has to be a good chance in this field…..               Loyalist stable gets a lot of winners at Methven and this looks an ideal race for him. Can win…. Art Collector gets a tidy draw which should suit here. Place claims best in this field.

Race 5

Play Dough might start favourite here after his eye-catching trial on the. Should go close if he steps away cleanly …… DD's Super Stuart another who trialled well here last week.Top three player and over the odds … One Over Dover another who will appreciate the grass and who has been racing well without luck. No surprise to see a good showing here but will need to bring his manners… Crazy N Love tricky draw but big on ability and respect the stable on the track. Include

Race 6

Dismara good at trials here last weekend. Money will come for him and is should lead and go close….. Mordecai a bit disappointing last start but well placed here and fence run suits. Can run top three…… Swap Over has been looking for a good draw and grass suits. Could stick on for a place at decent odds.… Highland Reign  runs some good races on grass and could surprise at big money here

Race 7

I Am Adaline good win last start and draw the only worry. Can win with a cart into the race before the home turn.……. Champagneandwine  going ok and has won on the track before. Liked at good money.… Better Fly tough draw to overcome but likely to lead them up here. Can win.….. Four Starzzz Shiraz  getting fitter and has run some good races recently but place chances look best in this field.

Race 8

John James Preston  massive run at Methven trials and should be running top three here with manners……. Cheapcheap has performed well at workouts here in the past. Good winning claims if he can find the front and then trail.… Justace strikes a good draw and should get a cosy run on the fence. Place claims if he can trail all the way….. Cristiano Buccini coming in fresh but big trial win here. Include

Race 9

Ashes To Ashes beat a tidy trials field here last weekend.  Normally steps ok and should be hard to beat……. Canardly Remember he has raced well on grass in the past and good chance of running in top three here at bolters odds..… Sister's Delight getting fitter and a top three finish looks on the cards here after her workout placing last weekend. Include….. Voodoo Priestess she looked a run short last start but has ability. Could provide an upset at even from the tricky draw.

Race 10

Chief Of Staff unlucky last start but change of driver. Should be very hard to roll here if he can get near the lead early……. Gil Favor decent effort last start and has won both starts here. Winning claims and opened way over the odds.… Grand Princess forgive last start seventh. Tough field but can place at good odds….. Alvira Hest great draw and top driver booked. If she can lead early she is a major player here at long odds.

Race 11

Clive coming in fresh and change of driver. If he can get handy midrace then he is a big winning chance……. Guido Da Siena decent effort last start and likely to lead early here. Winning claims at good odds.… Claus racing out of his skin and grass suits. Tough field but can win at good odds….. Iknow   has been freshened up and drawn well. Stable can get them ready and he is a major player here.

Race 12

Midfrew Luisianabeau disappointing last start but grass will suit. Should be very hard to roll here if he land near the lead early……. Barkley freshened up and trial here was ok. Paying great money and is a top three chance … Johnny Mac been racing in Auckland and is big on ability. Tough field but can win with top driver booked….. Duastar terrible draw but grass suits and she has a big finish. Outside place chance here
