Cambridge selections – 29th October 2026

Harness analyst best tips:

Best Bet: R3 Busy Canoodling

Best Value: R4 Franco Miki

Race 1

Arose (1)

Has been knocking on the door with two seconds from his last three appearances. Drawn to control proceedings and looks well placed. Top selection.

Loveable Rogue (10)

Showed plenty of determination to finish third here last Thursday. The unruly second-row position complicates matters, but another placing is within reach.

Abman (4)

Four consecutive top-three finishes underline his consistency, although he continues to find one or two too good. Should be close enough

Race 2

Night Moves (8)

Returned to winning form a fortnight ago and appears to have regained confidence. The outside draw a challenge  but another forward showing expected.

Signman (7)

Finished strongly at Auckland two starts ago and has previously won here. Dangerous if the early tempo is genuine. Top three chances here

Takethat (9)

Broke through comfortably last week after several encouraging performances. Steps up against winners second row, but could be competitive

Race 3

Busy Canoodling (6)

Two consecutive placings suggest she is approaching another victory. Went down fighting last Thursday and meets a suitable field. Should be prominent

Stash The Cash (2)

Refused to surrender when runner-up last week and has been holding his form remarkably well. Drawn to secure a favourable position and can place again

Kiss My Pixel (4)

Has been thereabouts without quite finishing the job. Her recent fourth was respectable, and a trouble-free journey could see her in the money.

Race 4

Franco Miki (1)

Recent results have been mixed, but the inside draw changes the complexion of this assignment. Chance to improve at attractive odds.

King Tide (3)

Drops into a more manageable grade after struggling to make an impact recently. Has enough ability to take advantage of his favourable draw

Midfrew Lucre (5)

Only narrowly denied last Thursday following a series of competitive performances. Racing with confidence and should be close up here.

Race 5

Wynberg Janie (2)

Defended her lead bravely to score on October 15 and returns to the front mark. The opposition is stronger this time, but she could prove difficult to catch

Kenny Hill (4)

Rewarded his supporters with a deserved victory last Thursday after steadily improving. Faces a 10m handicap but top three claims again here

Paradise Ali (7)

Produced a determined effort last week and has shown she can sustain a run over this distance. Genuine each-way prospect with manners.

Race 6

Miki Mirage (7)

Finished with real purpose to claim victory last Thursday. The wider starting position means he may need to do more work here. In the mix

Claude (8)

Was too strong for similar opposition earlier this month and brings solid credentials into the final. The outside barrier is his biggest obstacle

Waltzing With Miki (2)

His latest Auckland performance was better than the finishing position indicates. A much more favourable draw  and can surprise at longer odds.
