Harness racing hits Auckland again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 5:25pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R2   Third Time

Best Value:  R7   Lauries Legacy

Race 1

Virginia Clowers (7) Normally steps away cleanly. Has been good in better fields. Needed
Ilsas Son (3) First start on the track but showed ability in Canterbury. Good chance fresh up
Ordained (5) Disappointing last start but better than that. Can sneak into the placings with manners

 

Race 2

Third Time (4) Was impressive on debut and should be improved. Top selection in this field
Dom Toretto (2) Better draw and racing ok in similar fields. Rates as a good chance here
Busload Of Faith (6) Raced well on debut and should go as well in this. Winning claims

 

Race 3

True Story (7) Good win off the mobile last start. Up to winning this with manners from the stand
Wishing Star (5) Better suited over the sprint trip but should be thereabouts in this field. Include
Castana (12) Change of driver and a good run in a stronger field last start. Distance will suit. 

 

Race 4

Cyren Shard (7) Good win at recent trials and from a leading stable. Top selection here
Carolina Moon (9) Drawn for a run on the fence and form is ok. Can sneak a place at odds
Xcite Me (2) Disappointing last start but weaker field here. Needs the right trip but has claims

 

Race 5

Skylou (4) Tidy win last start and this field not much stronger. Can win again with a similar run
Gandalf (2) Has to be respected from the stable and looked good running fourth last start. Needed
Bo Duke (1) Should land a good spot on the pegs. Can run into the placings if fully fit.

Race 6

Miki Shan (8) Tricky draw but might go forward early. Good winning chance with luck in running
Sharkies Girl (1) Good win from a similar draw last start. Top three chance again in this
Lincoln River (5) Has been racing well and likely to head forward. Needs luck but can win

 

Race 7

Lauries Legacy (5) Has the speed to be a winning chance if he can get to the front. Include here
Springbank Mason (7) Down on form and tricky draw but at his best would go close here
Dream Of You (2) Gets a head start on most of his rivals. Good enough to run top three

 

Race 8

The Big Lebowski (7) Unlucky in a strong field last start. He can monster them in this. Include
Fernleigh Cash (5) Good win last start and should be improved. Can go close to winning
New York Minute (3) Ok draw to contend with here. Hard to see him winning but can place

 

Race 9

Rock Band (3) Building up a good form line at the trials. One of the better chances in this
Carbon (4) Has been fair at recent trials. Not out of it in this as he has a bit of speed.
Billy The Kid (6) Racing well at trials and might go forward. One for longer odds here

 

Race 10

Aldebaran Crystal (7) Has been racing well and looks one of the major players in this field.
Elle Bee Jay (5) Went close last start and might take some stopping with a similar effort here
Johnny Who (1) Looks a bit one paced but can run top three if the pace is on all the way
