Auckland selections 24th July 2026

Harness analyst best tips:

Best Bet:  R5   Go Jimmy Cassidy

Best Value:  R8   Memories

Race 1

Franco Salah (6) – Drops into a suitable grade and his consistency makes him the one they all have to beat.

Franco Miki (5) – Rarely far away and another honest performance looks likely from a workable draw.

Miki Mirage (4) – Forgive the latest mistake. Previous efforts were good enough to put him right in this.

Race 2

Franco Ronaldo (6) – Well-bred debutant from a leading stable and expected to have plenty of support on debut.

Royal Petite (7) – Excellent resuming effort and strips fitter for this assignment. Big danger.

Bijou (2) – Won both trials leading in and looks capable of making an immediate impact.

Race 3

War Chief (5) – Only just missed first-up and natural improvement makes him the horse to beat.

Sammy Lincoln (4) – Forgive the latest effort. His previous form stacks up well in a race like this.

Colonel Lincoln (11) – Has mixed it with stronger company before and can add value to the multiples.

Race 4

Brother Johnson (9) – Went down fighting last week and another performance of that level would see him hard to hold out.

Eagle Hanover (5) – Has been racing in stronger fields and may appreciate the class relief here.

Sans Au Revoir (11) – Better than the latest run suggests and capable of improving with the right trip.

Race 5

Go Jimmy Cassidy (4) – Hasn’t had much luck early in his career and looks capable of making a statement here.

B Envious (1) – Two strong runs this campaign and the ace draw gives him every opportunity.

Tere (6) – Impressive all-the-way trial winner and commands respect on debut.

Race 6

Illicit Love (2) – Returned to winning form in style last start and looks the standout on exposed form.

Shesgold (6) – Resumes here and has shown enough ability previously to warrant respect fresh.

Paramount Spur (5) – Went close last week and his Alexandra Park record suggests another big run is coming.

Race 7

Ride The Waves (7) – Three wins from four starts says it all. Deserved favourite and clearly the one to beat.

Fly High (6) – Has been in terrific touch and should make the favourite earn it again.

Twist And Tango (1) – Maps to get the perfect run from the draw and shouldn’t be underestimated.

Race 8

Memories (5) – Produced a strong effort last time and looks set for another bold showing.

Monarch Muscle (2) – Early manners cost him last start. His debut win showed he has plenty of talent.

Santapazienza (3) – Continues to race consistently and is right in his comfort zone over this distance.

Race 9

American Me (8) – Has been dominant since returning north and looks the horse they all have to beat.

Little Spike (7) – Better than his latest effort and his prior form gives him genuine claims.

Twista (3) – Hit the line strongly last start and another soft trip would see him in the finish.

Race 10

It Ain’t Me Babe (6) – Capable mare who can bounce back if she steps away cleanly over the sprint trip.

Youneverknow (4) – Has returned in excellent order this campaign and rates as a major winning chance.

Taylad To Use (3) – Drawn to get every opportunity and should be in the fight over his favourite distance.
