Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 9 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:38pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Best Bet:  R6  Beside Me

Best Value:  R1 Double Parked

Race 1

Double Parked (2) Freshened and looked good last campaign. Can run top three from the draw
Carrera Hombre (3) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Will head forward and needed
Canadian Lass (1) Getting better with racing and drawn to trail all the way. Can run top three

Race 2

Happy Hill (4) Great second last start and should be improved. Has to be included from the front row
Crackerjack (10) Big third after working hard last start and will be fitter. Tricky handicap the only issue
Hillbilly (8) Improver from his last start and can begin well. One of the main chances in this field

Race 3

Turn O The Tide (11) Up in grade but can go on with it after solid win last start. Good run expected
Sweet Maggie Mae (6) Raced some good fillies fields last campaign. Easier here and deserves respect
Billy The Kid (1) Disappointing last start but can get a soft trail here from the better draw. Can place

Race 4

Suttle (4) Solid trials and a winning chance fresh up from a strike rate stable. Might start favourite here
Redpark Warrior (5) Has gate speed and good second on debut. Should give a good account again
Chase Is On The Case (2) Ok at trials and an improver with a place chance at longer odds in this

Race 5

Marketplace (6) Fastest horse in the race and small field helps. Top selection and hard to beat here
Bettors Anvil (4) Good win last start and main threat to the favourite. Good each way chance
Roy Kent (1) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. Place hopes look best

Race 6

Beside Me (5) Good after working hard in the running last start. Hard to beat with a better trip. Needed
Without You (4) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw and beat these last start
Allets (2) Drawn well here and could surprise for a top three spot with a trailing position in the running

Race 7

Tyrons Strapping Lad (5) Good win last start and this is no harder. Mobile suits and can go back to back
Habibti Pat (7) Tricky draw but should go close to placing in this. Ran some top races last campaign
Frazzled (4) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Place chance if she handles the track

Race 8

Halberg (9) Freshened and will be running on. Hard to hold out if he gets the run to suit in this. Include
High Energy (10) Decent motor and has not had a lot of luck. One of the better chances with a cart into it
Liaison (4) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and place hope here. One for longer odds

Race 9

Greased Lightnin (7) Fast horse and this looks easier than his previous race. Wide draw but can win
Barbarossa (3) Decent motor and is drawn well here. One of the better chances and likely to head forward
Wicked Wanda (6) Fair fourth last start. Hs gate speed to lead and then trail and place hope again here
