Harness racing hits Auckland again today with 8 races on the card. The racing starts at 5:59pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

Mantra Blue (4) In good from and looks home in this race. Short odds in the small field
Beta Prepare (6) Small field will help and likely early leader. Good place claims. Needed
Kevin Kline (2) Getting better with racing and could go close to placing in this. Include

Race 2

Bolt For The Hill (3) Looks stronger now and began ok last start. In the mix with the right trip
Ya Eejit Ya (7) Stand start iffy but looks one of the better chances in this. Worth including
Sans Au Revoir (4) Improver from her last start and drawn ok. Top three chance in this field

Race 3

Lincoln’s Spice (8) Good workout win and stable respect in this. Should give a strong showing
Shezsofast (4) Powerful stable and has been ok at recent trials. Has to be included in this field
Craftsman (9) Another stable respect runner who has trialed ok. Is a must have in this line up

Race 4

Mad Mary (8) Back in handicap but looks capable of overcoming it. Winning claims again
Play Fast And Loose (3) Has early speed and goes ok the track. Stable change and needed
Santapazienza (2) Running on late last start. Needs the right trip but can get into the placings

Race 5

Johnny Lincoln (4) Fought on best last start with petrol in the tank. Top selection in this.
Hawkeye Pierce (9) Freshened and at his best would go close. Good each way chance here
Beachbreak (10) Will be fitter after last start second. Good from and should go good again

Race 6

Ultimate Racy Girl (9) Disappointing last start. Gets a head start on fast beginners out wide
Seaclusion (6) Has raced well in recent starts. Gate speed to lead and will go forward. Include
Wicked Wanda (5) Well placed in this field. Hard to beat if she finds the front early in this

Race 7

Kiss And Run (5) Nice draw and has raced better fields. Likely leader and can upset here
High Energy (7) Tricky handicap but has a decent finish. Winning claims with a cart up
Lord Popinjay (2) Goes best with the pace on and is a quick beginner. Top three claims again

Race 8

Tytate (7) Has a decent reputation. Top three hope based on form and can go close to winning
The Rascal  (5) Decent motor and is drawn ok here. One of the better chances in this field
Two Jules (13) Unlucky on several occasions down south and notable trainer change. Include
