Harness racing hits Ashburton again today with ten races on the card . The racing starts at 12:05pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R1 Waterloo Station

Best Value:  R3   Luna Dolce

Race 1

Waterloo Station (3) Back on a big grit track should help. Should run top three with manners
Rogue Hero (8) Trialing well and well bred. Has to be one of the better chances in this field
Lady Tiffany (12) On debut but has trialed well on the track. Upset claims with luck in transit

Race 2

Topaz (3) Speedy and sprint distance will suit. Drawn to be one of the major players in this
Oakley Shard (2) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. One for longer odds
Millies Sensation (1) Improver from her last start and likes to race handy. Top three chance here

Race 3

Luna Dolce (10) Has trialed like a winner but no good race day. New trainer and better run expected
Tipstar (8) Disappointing last start but has raced well in these conditions. Driver change and needed
Newbiemains Arden (2) Average effort last start but better draw. Can sneak into the top three here

Race 4

Watching Brief (2) Freshened and a winning chance from the draw. Top selection in this field. Include
Auntie Deb (1) Has gate speed and goes well the track. Should give a good account with top driver on
Just Foxin (12) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds if he brings his A-game

Race 5

Forgiveness (5) Fought on last start in a stronger field. Top selection and can go close here with luck
T K Megastar (6) Normally holds form and a tidy win last start after sitting parked. Good EW chance
Who’s Queen (7) Will be fitter after last start. Could be a chance if she can find the front on this track

Race 6

Hilarious Love (3) Good in recent trials and top driver booked. Hard to beat against this lot. Needed
Lochdarragh (7) Had a tough run at Addington on Friday but stuck well. Winning claims in this field
Major Linc (4) Due to show form and drawn well here. Has won a race and good place hopes here

Race 7

Wish Me Luck (9) Draw hurts but has raced better fields. Can run a tidy two miles in this field
Dance Till Dawn (4) Should get a run through early. Might need luck but good recent win. Include
Audacity (7) Wide draw but has a big finish with one run at them. Upset claims with manners

Race 8

Bonnie’s Girl (7) Draw hurts but can run a quick mile. Will need the right trip but could surprise
Mythical (5) Should go close to placing in this after a good age group fourth. Winning claims
Delightful Peg (2) Has no form but should get a good run near the speed. Top three chance

Race 9

Prince Ranier (6) Best form horse in the field and will be running on. Wide draw but can win
Love Walked In (10) Decent motor and a drawn for a soft pegs trip. One of the better chances
Clyde (7) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and place hope here from the mobile

Race 10

The Highlander (6) Running on last start. Drawn ok here and looks a good place bet. Needed
Woodlea Diamond (11) Better than most in this field and running on well last start. One for odds
Judine (14) Good finish last start and can sprint well off cover. Could surprise with a cart up
