Addington selections – 7 October 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R2 Ben From Accounts
Best Value: R8 Valyrian
Race 1
Mysaria (6)
Returns from a spell after finishing her previous campaign reasonably well. Recent trial should have her ready for a competitive fresh-up effort.
Speakeasy (8)
Still managed third despite racing erratically last week. Wide draw isn’t ideal, but she looks one of the stronger winning chances.
Evangalist (5)
Has struggled with her manners so far but possesses enough ability to compete. A clean round would make her an upset chance.
Race 2
Ben From Accounts (10)
Impressed winning his latest trial with a sharp closing sectional. Second row draw requires some luck, but he looks ready to go on debut.
Boatmans Call (5)
Was green when leading his latest trial and weakened late. Should benefit from that experience and could improve on debut.
Beautiful Crazy (3)
Has been racing consistently and gets a much better draw this time. Looks one of the strongest winning chances in the race.
Race 3
Smoking Ashes (1)
Found the line once clear last week and now gets the ace draw. Looks well placed to produce a much stronger result.
Miracle Memphis (3)
Finished strongly once clear at his latest appearance. Drawn nicely again and looks a genuine each-way chance.
Longview Tui (2)
Ran home strongly last week and gets another favourable draw. Should settle handy and looks capable of figuring prominently.
Race 4
See No Evil (10)
Demolished the opposition here two starts ago and clearly has the ability to win again. Manners needed again from the unruly.
Arden Solitaire (3)
Returns from a spell with mixed trial form but has won twice at Addington. Worth respecting fresh from the handy draw.
Alotoftrouble (7)
Has produced several useful efforts at this track and now joins a new stable. Capable of getting into the finish with the right trip.
Race 5
Amazing Captain (7)
Has started her new campaign in excellent form in the North. Makes her Addington debut but looks capable of measuring up.
Hungry Bronnie (5)
Produced a dominant front running victory at Timaru last start. Steps up in grade but should be competitive again.
Allets (8)
Was a class above her rivals when winning here last week. Wide draw makes it tougher, but she’s clearly a major threat again.
Race 6
Carolan Questro (9)
Hasn’t been far away in recent starts and continues to race honestly. Wide draw is the concern but she can feature with some luck.
Abitibi (11)
Forget the Methven run after making two mistakes. Previous Addington effort was eye catching and he can threaten with better manners.
Terrormylove (5)
Had to work at Timaru before a fair Methven performance. This assignment looks more suitable and he can improve.
Race 7
Ward Lamon (3)
Comes off a deserved Addington victory for his new stable. Drawn perfectly to get another economical trip and can win again.
Mouton Cadet (5)
Produced a strong performance at Methven and continues to race consistently. Looks one of the main winning chances.
Foveaux Gambler (6)
Kept fighting after being headed last week. Wider draw makes things harder, but he’s capable of getting into the combinations.
Race 8
Valyrian (11)
Made a mistake at Timaru and gets back behind the mobile here. Needs to improve his Addington record but has enough ability to threaten.
Loveyou To Da Skye (12)
Has produced some useful late work recently. Unruly position makes his task difficult, but he can add value to the exotics.
Florence The Machine (6)
Made good ground last week despite an early mistake. Looks particularly well placed if she gets everything right from the mobile.
Race 9
Major Performer (7)
Produced another strong performance here last week and continues to race consistently. Ten-metre handicap but looks a genuine winning chance.
Putere Boy (2)
Did well to finish as close as he did last week and gets the front mark again. Looks extremely well placed to go close.
Outback Man (8)
Returns for a new stable after a break and a disappointing run of form in the South. Market support would be significant.
