Addington selections 16th September 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R3 Itz Kurtus Maximus
Best Value: R1 Here Comes Marty
Race 1
Here Comes Marty (10)
Forget the Methven run in tough conditions. His earlier form was much better and the second row could provide a soft trip.
A Better Jackalack (6)
Also had little go right at Methven after a useful Rangiora effort. Capable of bouncing back in this company.
The Beach House (1)
Finally gets a front-line draw after several second-row assignments. Has won over the trip and looks a major chance.
Race 2
Dragonhill (5)
Has been fair in two runs back and should be due to find form. Genuine top-three chance.
Origin (4)
Not far away after getting her opportunity at Methven but continues to race honestly. Looks one of the hardest to beat.
Schoemaker (7)
Needed the run on the wet track at Methven and should improve sharply. At his best could run top three here.
Race 3
Itz Kurtus Maximus (8)
Has been running on against stronger opposition. Wide draw is the concern but this looks a very suitable race.
The Seamstress (4)
Not far away in the wet at Methven. Went close at Ashburton previously and looks the main danger.
Miss Woodville (7)
Continues to race consistently and can grind away into a place. Strong each-way chance despite the wider draw.
Race 4
Rip Wheeler (6)
Nice win last start after two strong runs earlier in the campaign. Racing extremely well and can win again.
Lets Get Tropical (2)
Returns from a break and gets a very useful draw. Needs to improve on his last appearance but worth including at odds.
Justification (3)
Finished off nicely at Methven and gets another favourable draw. Capable of getting into the finish with the right trip.
Race 5
Zoom X (5)
Continues to race strongly and comes into this off another placing. Looks very well suited in this grade.
Okiwi Bay (1)
Did plenty of work at Methven before weakening late. Tough mare who gets a much better opportunity from the ace.
Matai Harry (4)
Mixing his form but gets a handy draw and has enough ability for this grade. Worth including in the multiples.
Race 6
Ocean Of Tears (1)
Another good effort here last start and now lands the perfect draw. Racing consistently and looks the one to beat.
Country Gold (7)
Continues to race honestly and usually puts himself into a handy position. Draw is wider but he can still threaten.
Rapid Response (10)
Two encouraging runs since returning and should be fitter again. Quick beginner with a genuine winning chance.
Race 7
Aspirational Dream (7)
Returns after a recent trial and has enough ability for this grade. Fresh record is the query but she’s capable of winning.
Kingaroy (6)
Another good late finish at Methven continued his consistent form. Looks a major threat based on previous Addington runs.
Lindy’s Rocket (9)
Hasn’t reproduced his May winning form in recent starts. Needs to lift but this grade gives him an opportunity.
Race 8
Queen Of Swords (9)
Has changed stables after average form in recent starts. Draw makes it tricky but she’s capable enough to win this.
Kotare Kelso (8)
Had to work too hard from a wide draw at Rangiora and faces another tough marble. Still worth including in the multiples.
Tallandfast (1)
Things went wrong at Methven after some better efforts beforehand. Gets the ace here and can improve sharply at odds.
