Addington selections 14th August 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R10 Irish Dream
Best Value: R2 Bella Ciao
Race 1
Terry Webster (2)
Continues to race well and gets conditions to suit again. Looks capable of going very close in this field.
Paige (7)
Hasn’t had everything go her way recently and the mobile should help. Can get into the money at decent odds.
Origin (3)
Much better suited back behind the mobile tonight. Capable mare on her day and worth including in the multiples.
Race 2
Bella Ciao (1)
Continues to knock on the door without winning. Gets every chance from the ace and should be right in the finish.
Rosa Shard (2)
Unraced filly who looked ready to go with a nice trial win. Drawn perfectly and could take plenty of beating first up.
Nansana (7)
Going better than her formline might suggest and this isn’t overly strong. Can finish over the top of a few late.
Race 3
One El (6)
Freshened since his last run and usually gives a good account behind the mobile. Competitive field but can win with the right trip.
Hoof It Hagrid (2)
Things didn’t work out last week and he gets a better setup tonight. Looks one of the main dangers.
B D Hall (5)
Returns with a trial win under his belt and has always shown ability. Big chance fresh if he brings his manners.
Race 4
Melton Magnate (7)
Consistent type who rarely runs a bad race. Drops into a very suitable grade and looks a strong each-way chance.
Country Gold (5)
Should be able to put himself into the race early and that is a big advantage in this field. Has to be respected.
Royal Belle (3)
Has changed stables and gets a handy draw for the new team. Could be an improver at longer odds.
Race 5
Paris Prince (3)
Much better effort when second last week and should be around the speed again. Gets his chance to go one better.
George Eliot (4)
Caught the eye making ground from well back last start. Even terms suit and she can finish over the top of them.
The Royal Gamble (5)
Hard to fault his recent form and is racing with plenty of confidence. No reason he can’t win again.
Race 6
Always A Porsche (8)
Really got moving late when fresh and should be much sharper for that run. Smart pacer and looks very hard to beat.
Trump Card (9)
Draw isn’t ideal but he has been racing well against decent opposition. Should be right in the fight with any luck.
Franco Lomu (1)
Backed up some good form with a win last start and now lands the ace. Gets every chance to make it two in a row.
Race 7
The Visionary (7)
Has had plenty of education leading into his debut and looks ready to go. Open maiden but he should take some beating.
Chilli Gold (8)
Racing honestly and hasn’t been far away in his last couple. Tough draw but good enough to overcome it.
Aardie’s Ideal (3)
Has shown enough at the trials to suggest a maiden win won’t be far away. Handy draw and a genuine winning chance.
Race 8
Princess Renee (4)
Resumes after showing plenty of promise earlier in the year. Has been given plenty of preparation and her best would go close here.
Asymmetric Return (5)
Got the job done nicely last start and looks to have come back a better horse. Strong chance to win again.
Unico Realta (8)
Never really got his chance fresh and that run can be forgotten. Draw isn’t great but expect a much better showing tonight.
Race 9
Franco Ankara (3)
Got the job done fresh and should improve with the run. This is harder but the draw gives him every opportunity.
Tee Ball (7)
Form is better than the last couple of results suggest. Tougher starting position but capable of getting into the finish.
Nikolai Ray (2)
Has been racing consistently and gets a nice draw here. One for the multiples at longer odds.
Race 10
Irish Dream (6)
In excellent form and his latest second came in a handy field. Looks very well placed and should take plenty of beating.
Commander Ben (4)
Only fair in his last couple but this looks a better opportunity. Could improve sharply at odds.
Lonnekers (9)
Made up a stack of ground last week and the run was better than it looks on paper. Awkward draw but a genuine value chance late.
