Grand Prix Finals, Guaranteed pools cap Yonkers season

Bettors will have a chance at some pre-holiday cash on Friday (December 19) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, as in conjunction with the Standardbred Owners Association of New York, the early Pick 4 that starts in race one will have a $10,000 guaranteed pool and the Pick 5 pool in race five will be guaranteed at $20,000. Since the 2025 meet ends on Friday, the Pick 5 also has a mandatory payout.

Friday’s on-track action is headlined by the $250,000 finals of the MGM Grand Prix Trotting and Pacing Series finals over the distance of a mile and a quarter, and the 12-race program has an early post time of 2:15 p.m. (EST). In addition to the finals, there is a $100,000 MGM Grand Prix Trotting Series consolation, which is the fourth event on the program and a $100,000 MGM Grand Prix Pacing Series consolation, which will go as race six.

Part of Friday’s program, including the two series finals, will be nationally-televised during Fox Sports 2’s America’s Day at the Races broadcast.
