Graham Bradley passes away aged 75
Graham Bradley a prominent galloping trainer in the 1980/90’s sadly passed away peacefully on Monday. Graham also trained harness horses with the best of them being Reba Lord who won 6 races from his first 9 starts for Graham. In total Graham won 37 harness races from his Hawera property which just beat his father Gordon’s record of 33 lifetime harness winners. Graham was father to Douglas and Darryl and one of the proudest moments of his life was when Darryl won the 1998/99 NZ Jockey Premiership.
The last 12 years of Graham’s life had been tough health wise for him due to a horrific car smash which saw him die at the scene but thankfully a registered nurse was in a car directly behind the accident and she resuscitated him with emergency services arriving soon after. The accident left Graham paralysed but with his loving wife Glenys and family including four grandchildren he enjoyed life to the end which was highlighted with his never ending passion for racing and rugby.
Friends are invited to attend a service for Graham at the Feilding Funeral Chapel, 282 Kimbolton Road Feilding, on Friday August 12, 2016 at 2:30pm
