Gotfeelingsyouknow confirmed for New Zealand Cup week raid

The Aussie team of raiders for Go Media New Zealand Trotting Cup Week just got a bit stronger.

Prominent Victorian trainer Chris Svanosio confirmed his Brisbane Inter Dominion trotting final runner-up Gotfeelingsyouknow (Majestic Son) will make the trip to Christchurch.

But stablemate Lovemeto will be staying home.

The injury-plagued Gotfeelingsyouknow was the find of the Brisbane Inter Dominion series in July with a win and close second in his two heats before a fantastic late-closing second to Gus in the final.

Gus underlined the strength of that form when he returned for his first start since the Inter Dominion when he made light work of a 50m handicap to win at Albion Park on Saturday night.

Gotfeelingsyouknow had some early niggles this campaign and returned with a fourth in the Dullard Cup on October 10 before backing up a week later and finishing eighth in the unsuitably short 1720m Bill Collins Sprint.

He boasts vast standing start experience through Victoria’s country cup circuit, including placings in the Bendigo and Shepparton Trotters’ Cups earlier this year.

Svanosio has plenty of experience in NZ, largely through his former Inter Dominion winner Arcee Phoenix, whose NZ trips include winning last year’s TAB Trot at Cambridge.
