Got The Chocolates heads to Auckland
Got The Chocolates (Art Major) takes a step into the unknown on Friday when he faces a handful of genuine harness racing free-for-allers including Swayzee, Republican Party and Akuta along with another up and comer The Lazarus Effect, in the G1 $100,000 Taylor Mile at Alexandra Park.

After a stellar three year old campaign for trainers Robert and Jenna Dunn in which he won five of his thirteen starts, the now four year old has continued on his winning way with three wins in as many starts this season.
Included in those wins was a New Zealand record breaking 3-08.7 for the 2600 metre stand and an equally impressive 2-19.6 for the 1980 metre mobile.
“He’s come back great after his three year old campaign and has done nothing wrong to date. He flies to Auckland this afternoon,” said regular pilot John Dunn.
And he’s looking forward to the next set of challenges.
“Definitely. Taking on the rough and tumble seasoned campaigners who’ve been doing it for a few years. I’m looking forward to it. Then we’ll put him aside and have a crack at spring.”
After Friday night’s feature, the $100,000 G1 Messenger a week later will be targeted.
And later in the spring Dunn is excited at the prospect of rekindling Got the Chocolate’s rivalry with Marketplace.
“He was a big robust horse as a three year old. Reports say he’s come back a lot stronger this time in, which is good.”
