Aldebaran Park sired or owned trotters won the prestigious Lyn McPherson Breed For Speed Gold, Silver and Bronze Finals on Team Teal night at Melton.

The Aldebaran Eagle USA mare Rockinwithattitude made a triumphant return to the winning lists following some health issues when she led throughout in the Group 3 $30,000 Gold Trot Final in a career-best 1:54.8.

On the same card the Aldebaran Park part-owned Aldebaran Susanne (What the Hill Ca – Cold Sister USA) took out the Listed Silver Trot in 1:56.7 and Sky Lindy (by Skyvalley NZ) won the Bronze Trot Final in a new lifetime mark of 1:57.9. Sky Lindy is now undefeated in four outings this season.

The Aldebaran Park bred gelding Aldebaranstilinksi (Sebastian K Swe – Aldebaran Sky) became only the second horse ever to complete a clean sweep of the Jim McNeil Trotting Championship Series when he overcame a 20-metre handicap to score in runaway fashion in the $27,000 final at Albion Park.

Skyvalley NZ has made a flying start to the new season with 17 individual winners including 11 winners during February.

Apart from Sky Lindy, Skyvalley NZ sired the Albion Park winners Flash Kyvalley, the newest member of the $200,000 Club, and Look For Tascott (1:59.3), the Victorian provincial winners Mac Flick (1:56.1), Aetos Dynamis (1:57.3), The Dark Thunder (1:59.7), Golden Skies (2:00), Floating Mountain, Little Miss Morgan and Rarity Rock and the Mount Gambier victor Lady Suspicious.

Skyvalley NZ also ranks as the damsire of the Breed For Speed Silver heat winner Keayang Gypsy (1:55.3), Midnite Muscle (1:57.7) and Bumper Service.

Aldebaran Eagle USA sired five winners on either side of the Tasman during February in Rockinwithattitude (Melton), Aldebaran Axl (Cranbourne), the New Zealand winners Eagle Hanover (Manawatu twice) and Aldebaran Redwood (Rangiora) and the Victorian pacer Huxham Chubb 1:58 (Terang).

All told, Aldebaran Eagle USA had left 39 individual winners from 54 Australian bred starters at an average of $40,800 per starter.

Aldebaran Park bred three winners for the month in Aldebaran Axl (ex Aldebaran Ay M NZ), Aldebaran Redwood (Father Patrick USA-Another Love NZ) and Aldebaranstilinski.
