Go The Red going for gold
Six-year-old Gotta Go Cullect gelding Go The Red has taken a liking to Tasmanian racing.

The Wayne Yole-trained pacer arrived from Queensland in June and has won seven of his 12 Tasmanian starts.
The pacer will be out to build on that record in the Ladbrokes Quick Multi Stakes (2200m) at the Ladbrokes Racing Centre, Mowbray, in Launceston on Sunday afternoon.
Go The Red finished runner-up to Horatius Speculo in a National Rating 75 to 105 event in Hobart last Sunday, after showing his versatility with wins over both 1680m and 2698m at his previous two Launceston starts.
“He’s been fantastic since coming down. I felt his form up in Queensland was good enough for him to do a good job down here, as he had shown that he could do work in the races,” said driver Mark Yole.
“What has impressed me with him is his ability to conserve energy during the run, regardless of what position he is in.
“He’s getting well up in class now, which will make it harder.”
Go The Red is the sole runner on the second line in Sunday’s race, giving Mark several tactical options.
“Sunday is tricky. Betta Black Tiger was solid first-up for the new stable. If there is speed on, I’ll come with a run. If they back off, I can make a mid-race move. He’s versatile like that.”
Mark rated the pacer as his best winning chance across his three drives on the program.
He is second on the state drivers’ premiership this season, with 50 wins after a double at Friday night’s Hobart meeting.
Sunday’s Launceston program commences at 13:07, with a pre-race trial scheduled for 12:14.
