Go On Boy takes Gr. II Prix de Washington

The 1.1/1 odds favorite Go On Boy (9m  Password-Balginette-Hasting) rallied  in the lane for harness racing victory in today’s Prix de Washington (Gr. II International, purse 120,000€, 1609 meters autostart,12 starters ages 4-11) with trainer Romain Derieux driving. Ecurie Nixxon owns this 15 time winner in 53 starts for 2,626,417€.  J.P. Mary bred Go On  Boy.

He recently won the Elitloppet final in 1.08.4kr after winning the Prix  de France in 1.10.1kr. He was timed today in 1.08.8kr off even fast fractioms set by Hohneck. The 2.5/1 odds pacesetter Hohneck (8m Royal Dream-Caranca) was a game second for driver Gabriele Gelormini and owner/trainer Philippe Allaire, Hohneck is the first invitee to this  year’s Yonkers NY International Trot. Home third today was 68/1 odds Elvis du Vallon (11m Reve de Beylev-Premiere  de Beylev). Goal Star (9g Look de Star) was fourth at 77/1 for driver Paul Philippe Ploquin and 8.2/1 Gaspar d’Angis (9g Quaro) was fifth for Eric Raffin.

The Prix du Palais de Chaillot (purse 75,000€, 2875 meters, 11 European starters ages 7-11) was the undercard leading event and 4/1 odds Ideal du Rocher (7g Clif du Pommereux-Vanilla de Bolero) was a comfortable rallying winner timed in 1.12.8kr engineered by  driver Benjamin Rochard, trainer Thierry Duvaldestin and Ecurie  Charley Mottier.

This one is now a  10 time career winner of 385,989€. The 6.9/1 Toto Barosso (8g Ready Cash-Bibi Barosso) held second  for Franck Ouvrie driving for trainer Johan Untersteiner and owner Leif Bergwall AB. Third was 1.9/1 odds favorite Indus Val (7g Booster Winner) with Matthieu Abrivard up for owner Philippe Beine and conditioner J.M. Chaimeux. Instrumentaliste (7n Ready Cash) at 6.8/1 and 73/1 Heliot de Cahot (8g Un Charme Fou) were fourth and fifth.
