The Harness Horsemen's Association of New England is seeking an Outrider for the 2016 harness race meet at Plainridge Casino and Raceway.
They will be interviewing applicants that are interested in the position that will be available for the upcoming racing season. The duties will be four days a week(race days) from early April through the end of November. Plainridge will provide a stall on premises for your horse(s) along with a feed/tack room for feed and tack.
Duties and requirements will be as follows;
The applicant MUST be an accomplished rider, have a qualified and well mannered equine partner(s) that has a good temperament and ability to perform the required duties for this position.
The applicant and his/her horse will be responsible to post parade & lead the race horses prior to each race, and also assist drivers to post parade and score a horse that requires additional assistance prior to a race.
Salary is negotiable and a additional weekly stipend will be provided for the care and feeding of the horse(s).
