Summer beach racing begins in Ireland

By Harnesslink ·

WEST CORK, Ireland – The 2016 Harness Racing Summer season begins in Cork this coming Sunday.

Racing at the famous Inchadoney Beach was revived a few years ago and this unique venue is one of the most popular on the West Cork circuit .

With the weather forecast good for Sunday the sands at Inchaconey will be transformed for one day only into a harness racing amphitheatre and is a sight to behold with a backdrop of the Atlantic ocean making a spectacular viewing for patrons .

The old adage "Time nor tide waits for no man" certainly is true for this unique fixture and racing has an 11.30 am start time. This is the only official harness racing meeting to be held on a beach worldwide and is well worth a visit .

Entries close on Monday night and five pacing races along with two races for the imported French trotters and a saddle race are pencilled in.

Racing continues throughout the Summer and below is the fixture list. Details of entries etc can be got on www.harnessracingcork.com.
