Fruit Snacker wins coast to coast

Fruit Snacker parlayed back to back wins in the Winners Over/ Select Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night.

Last Glow and Fruit Snacker left quickest off the gate trotting into the first turn.

Last Glow and driver Jack Parker Jr decided to accept the pocket trip after being parked the mile last week by Fruit Snacker and driver Tony Morgan..

Fruit Snacker was breathing fire setting early fractions of 27.4 thru the opening quarter. The half was reached in 57 flat, a leisure 29.1 quarter .  

Arrowhead Hanover moved first over from third past the half and up the backstretch.  A Blue Million was carried into the second over journey. Speed Away shadowed third over on the outside. Last Glow drafted in the pocket.

Fruit Snacker and Arrowhead Hanover were on even terms, reaching the three quarters in 1:25, a 28 quarter.

Turning for home, Fruit Snacker became a dominant force and drew off to win by a well measured half length in 1:53.2, a lifetime mark.

FRUIT SNACKER REPLAY

Arrowhead Hanover raced well but finished second.  Last Glow remained in the pocket and finished third.

Fruit Snacker ( Dover Dan) is owned by Mark R. Howard of Federalsburg, Maryland.  Kenneth Slabach is the breeder.  Will Reynolds trained and Tony Morgan drove.

The feature race on Wednesday’s betting card is the 10th race $20,000 Mares Winners Over/ Select pace. Jett Propelled attempts to record back to back wins in the event.
