Face Time Bourbon tops sire averages at Arqana yearling sale
The results of the recent Arqana Yearling Sale at Deauville, Normandy, France provided a massive boost for the leading Yabby Dam Farms’ frozen semen stallions Face Time Bourbon and Booster Winner.
Face Time Bourbon, the dual Prix D’Amerique champion and regarded as the hottest young trotting sire in Europe today, topped the stallion averages (three or more lots) for the three-day sale with 24 youngsters selling at an average price of 99,208 euros.
This figure is more than three times the average price for the overall sale!
The Face Time Bourbon yearlings grossed a hefty 2.38 million euros, more than 800,000 euros ahead of the second placed Idao De Tillard (1,953,000 euros).
Incredibly, Face Time Bourbon sired nine of the top 20 priced yearlings including four of the leading ten.
His most expensive yearling was the colt Punky Marquis, who was knocked down for 210,000 euros – the fourth highest priced lot at the sale.

Another colt Paris Paris realised 180,000 euros, while the fillies Palerme, Posie d’ Evika and Perle Gema sold for 165,000, 160,000 and 160,000 euros respectively.
Booster Winner, one of the best sons of Love You and the sire of the winners of 26 million euros to date, finished fourth on turnover with 13 lots sold for 526,000 euros, an average of 40,462 euros.
The highest price paid for a Booster Winner yearling at the sale was 90,000 euros for the filly Pita Ramos.
The sale aggregrated 11,184,200 euros for an average of 37,531 euros for 298 lots sold with a 63 percent clearance. This represented a jump of 15 percent on average price from last year’s auction.
