During the next 5th and 6th of May in the Norwegian racecourses of Momarken and Bjerke (Oslo) will be held the Gentlemen European championship for harness racing Amateur drivers organized by the flag of the FEGAT (European federation of amateurs drivers).
The championship will be played on four scoring races for each driver, with the participation of drivers from 13 different nationalities, members of FEGAT and will be qualifying for the 2016 World Cup in Hungary where the first 6 countries will obtain a wild card for the WC2015.
The most important achievements of some of the drivers participating in the European Championship 2014 are:
Swedish Hakan B. Johansson, current European Champion (Sweden 2014) and with 231 wins in his career.
Spanish Miquel Vich Capó, former European Champion in 2012 (Czech Republic) with 159 wins in his career.
Dutch Willem Browuer 3rd in last World Championship in Finland 2014.
Italian Giovanni Bechis with more then 400 starts and 935 wins.

Born 8th September 1951 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.Bought his first trotter named Kondor as 16 years old boy.He was breeder of trotters for last 30 years and also of thoroughbreds for approx.10 years. As amateur driver won his first race with “Cruise Missille” in Scharsberg (NL) in 1989. Started and won races in Nederland, U.S.A., Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Czech and Slovak Republic. One of top points in his driver`s career was the victory in German Amateurdriver Championship in Dinslaken in 1992. Since 1996 lives in Czech Republic, where married in 2003 and where his last 2 sons of his all 6 children were born. Have Czech driving licence since 1996.He had a great success in Czech trotting sports (1997- won with his own-bred mare Cabipaan Kort Czech Derby, St.Leger and Slovak Derby, Cabipaan Kort achieved titel Trotter of the year 1997 and later also 1998 as best older trotter in Czech Republic, she broke with 15,9 the formerly track-record). In 1999 won Czech Golden Cup with his trotter Sugar Candor /Trotter of the Year 1999.Won the Czech derby in 2013 with the mare Charming Oreau(NL), Trotter of the Year 2013.Won the Czech Triple-Crown 2014 with another mare Damalia(NL), Trotter of the Year 2014. Won the Czech Amateur drivers`Championship many times and took more times part in the European and also World Amateur Championship. |

Teemu has been involved in horse business since a he was a small child.
His father owned many horses and that is why he started participating to trotting business.
He started the hobby by racing trotting ponies and got full trotting amateur license immediately when it was possible.His best horse so far has been Vintage Lady, who run at V65 and V75 level. Most memorable win has been his first victory with Flaming Love.
Teemu’s best driving results were last year when he won the finnish amateur championship title.
At the championship finals he drove three wins, two third places and one fourth place out of seven races. |

Wim is born between the trotters than his father was also a passionated. Succesful owner and amateur driver. Since 2013 Wim is the President of the Dutch Amateur club.
Also Wim’s wife Susan has an amateur license and both his sons Danny and Micha were competing in the pony races with Danny now having his first wins as an apprentice driver.
In 2010 Wim won the Amateur Champion title in his home country and in 2012 he got the Bronze medal at the European Championship in the Czech Republic. Last year at the World Championship in Finland he won again bronze!
