By Harnesslink ·

The 42-year-old reinswoman took out the Lady Drivers Invitational on the pacer Smooth Baht that is trained by her uncle Steve Turnbull.

And it top it off, the Somebeachsomewhere gelding clocked 1:49.5 on the rain affected track!

“We were flying,” said Turnbull.

“I missed the first quarter and when I saw the second quarter I knew we weren’t coming up for air.”

This race has featured during the Miracle Mile Carnival for a number of years now and a highlight for the Team Teal campaign.

“It’s fantastic and it’s for a great cause,” said Turnbull.

KerryAnn Morris finished second with the Belinda McCarthy-trained Artillery and Amanda Turnbull finished third with Doubtless Bay for trainer Jason Grimson.
