Eldorado Scioto downs accident update

Grove City, OH – The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association provides the following update on the status of the harness racing drivers and horses involved in the accident at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Friday night (May 8).

Five drivers were injured. All the horses involved in the accident are OK.

Kayne Kauffman suffered a fractured heel. Aaron Merriman suffered five broken ribs, a shattered scapula, and a partially collapsed lung. He is being kept in the hospital for further observation.

Additional updates on the conditions of the drivers involved will be provided on the OHHA Facebook page as they become available.

The OHHA wishes everyone involved a speedy recovery.
